Gnome Sweet Gnome :: Leanne Garner

Good morning and happy Hump Day!! Yup, we are on the downhill heading for the weekend! Woo Hoooo!! This is Leanne from CreatedbyLeanne and I'm SUPER EXCITED today is my very first post here on the Peachy Blog!! So grab you a cup of coffee (or if your like me have to have a Dt. Mt. Dew first thing) and kick back! I've got TONS of pictures to show you of my project for today!! Since this is going to be a extra long post I'm just going to jump right in with all the details!!

I've used the Sweet Tooth cartridge to create this little gnome box and I'm calling it Gnome Grown (after one of the newest releases that just came out hee hee) Let me start with the picture above it's the front of the house and see she's welcoming you in! The sweet little gnome girl is from the March Stamp Kit of the month and I've paper pieced her using a older DCWV stack called The Green Stack. Matter of fact all the pattern paper I used for this project is from this stack! The little flower pot beside the door was part of the cut from the cartridge I just peachified it a little hee hee. The flower with the face is from PK-564 Teamwork and the flowers at the bottom of the pot are from PK-562 Gnomegrown. The flower that is kinda hidden behind the little gnome is also from PK-562 Gnomegrown. I made a little welcome sign using the sentiment from the March Stamp Kit of the Month and added the flower which is also from this set. Here's a closer look..

Now let's move on to another side of the box...

I used the flowers again from PK-564 Teamwork and added one to a pot which I made and the leaves are a Martha Stewart punch. The other flower I added to the window seal. I cut a strip of the pattern paper I used for the house and added some Helmar ZapDots to make my window seal then added the flowers from PK-563 Garden Wheelies. The little gnome is fromPK-562 Gnomegrown (isn't he a cutie lol) I used the sentiment from PK-564 TeamWork and placed it at the bottom of the grass (which the grass was part of the box cut from the cartridge) Here's a closer look of this side also!

Ok...now to the other side! I sure hope your not getting bored hee hee I promise we don't like much!!

For this side, I did another window seal (the same as other side) but I've added the cute little shovel from PK-563 Garden Wheelies. The watering can at the bottom is also from this set but I stamped the can with a flower from PK-562 Gnomegrown to spruce it up a little! This gnome is from the PK-562 Gnomegrown set (it's the largest from the two in the set) I've got him standing on a mushroom from the March Stamp Kit of the Month. Here's a closer view of this side...

Now onto the back of the box!!

I think this is one of my favorite sides! I love the little gnome pushing the wheelbarrow of flowers! It's from the PK-564 Teamwork set. For the little flowers on the ground and the one in the window they are from the March Stamp Kit of the Month. The little gnome looking out the window is from the PK-562 Gnomegrown set. Here's a closer look of the back for ya!

Ok, I know you don't believe me but I PROMISE I'm about finished hee hee!!

Here's the little sign that is also part of the cut from the cartridge! I just wanted to show you what I used on it too!! The sentiment and the flowers are from the March Stamp Kit of the month. I did this on both sides of the sign!

Whew, I betcha never thought the end was coming did you!! This is my last picture PROMISE hee hee!!

I stamped this sentiment from PK-562 Gnomegrown onto both sides of the handle! Thank you soooo much for sticking with me! I know there were tons of pictures but I just wanted to show you up close how cute this newest release really is and what all you can do with it! Now all I have to do is decide if I'm going to bake cookies to put in here or some other type of goodies lol!! Have a wonderful Wednesday and thanks for looking!! Hugs, Leanne

Gnomegrown Birthday :: Heather Hoffman

Good morning! Heather here from Houses Built of Cards! It is my morning to post here on the Peachy Keen blog, so since cards are my favorite thing to make, that's what I have to share with you! I used the newly released March stamps for my card:
I am so in love with the brand new Peachy Kit of the Month for March - seriously the CUTEST gnomes EVER!!!  Here is a picture of the Kit:

I also used the watering can, little shovel, and flowers from this kit:

This is a big card - nearly 6x6 sized. I fell in love with the background paper, which is from one of My Minds Eye's new 6x6 paper pads. I trimmed about 1/8 inch off around all 4 edges, so my card ended up about 5.75 x 5.75 - that way it fits in a 6x6 envelope! (Yes, I learned that one the hard way the first time I made a large card and it wouldn't fit in the envelope!)
Then I pulled out my scissors and paper - and did TONS of paper piecing! Those little daisy's were the slowest part - but it is so worth it! I love how they came out! I then used pop-dots for lots of dimension - it looks like everything is popping off the scene at you!
I used an X-acto knife to cut the tiny details around the handles of the watering can, after I colored it with Copics.
On the flower pot, I cut the whole thing out, then cut an extra of just the top portion of the pot, and pop-dotted it before adhering the flowers to it. I thought it made the pot look more real! I also inked the edges of the pot with Tim Holtz distress ink in Antique linen for a bit more dimension.
The sentiment, also from the Kit of the Month, is stamped right on the main panel. I finished off with a sheer ribbon bow on the top of the card, and a couple of stick on pearls under the sentiment.
Almost forgot - I also inked the edges of the front piece with Tim Holtz distress ink, also in Antique Linen, and added some Copic marker "shadows" under the gnome and pot.
That's it for me! Thanks so much for stopping by to visit today!!! Home you have a marvelous week!!!

Recipe Pocket Binder :: Heidi Anne Giebel

Hi my Peachy friends,

This is Heidi from Got Scraps?

I'm so happy to see you today and I've got a fun project for you too!
This month is a friend of mine's birthday and I wanted to create something special for her. I decided to create this pocket mini album but turn it into a recipe binder.
I created five pocket pages and each page is a different food group to fill with recipes.
The stamp sets I used for this project are
PKSC-02 February 2012 kit
PK-530 Simple Simon Face Assortment
PK-531 Simple Sallies Face Assortment.

Here are each of the pages,

I really hope you enjoyed this tutorial and that it inspires you to pull out your Peachy Keen Stamps and create a recipe binder or mini for yourself or a friend!

love, Heidi from Got Scraps?

Celebrate with the February Stamp of the Month Kit! :: Raven Baca

Hey Peachies!!! How are you all today? Raven from Love4stamps.
Today I created a cutie pie little card using the AMAZING February SOTM.

I found this incredibly cute free svg file online, found HERE and I knew I had to peachify his cutie pie little face. So I used the February SOTM. I also stamped the barrel and lucky lucky lucky from the same set. On his cutie pie cheeks I added some white freckles. All of the paper and the embellishments used are from the Peachy Picks kit! I simply LOVE these kits.

Here is a peek inside the card...

Oh and there in the background you can see my favorite banner from last year. It's a Peachy banner of course, you can find the post on that one HERE.

Thanks everyone for stopping by and I hope you have a beautiful day.
Hugs,
Raven

Good Luck to You :: Saundra Rega

Hello Peachy Fans! Saundra here from Luv Scrapping Together. I am thrilled to share my project with you today!

Now that Valentine's Day has passed I thought it fitting to share a wee bit of green!

For over a week I've had this cute little leprechaun all colored just waiting for the perfect background. When I received my Peachy Picks I knew I had the perfect papers but I was still a little stuck. When that happens I start looking for card sketches. There are so many sites on the internet that offer inspiration but the sketch I used for this card is from Mojo Monday.

This little leprechaun is from PK-297 Kiss Me Leprechaun. I colored him with Prisma Colored Pencils and blender. His face was colored with Copic markers.  I added a bit of gold to his buckles with Gold Stickles and popped him up with foam tape.

I cut a few shapes from the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge which I used to showcase my leprechaun and sentiment. The sentiment is from PKSC-02 Peachy Keen Stamps Club. I love the paper and embellishments on this card! They are all from the February Peachy Picks.

I decided to heat emboss and glitter the background with PK-299 Lucky Day Shamrockbackground stamp. When I heat emboss I always prepare the cardstock so that I get a clean embossed image.

You can purchase embossing tools but I chose to make my own with a baby sock, baby powder, and cornstarch. Just mix equal parts of both and put it in some type of cotton sock or pouch. Pounce on your cardstock before stamping. This will keep random flecks of embossing powder from sticking to the cardstock where there is no ink. The powder seems to disappear once I have used my heat gun but if it doesn't you can easily brush it way.

I hope this inspires you to get a little green!

Stop over and visit me at my blog: Luv Scrapping Together. I'd love to hear from you!
Hugs,
Saundra
